- No re-admission/re-entry. Plan ahead before you get in.
-Good variety of tame animals and children can get very close to them.
My girls love coming here! Feeding the goats and other animals, playing on the play grounds and bouncy houses, riding ponies, and more. They have a lot of fun things to do. It is a little pricey to get the whole package, but you can spend the whole day here. I would recommend a little more variety in food choices, and cleaning up a bit more as some of the equipment and areas seem a little worn down, but that's a small thing.
Pro:
- The whole farm for the most part is child-proofed.
The kids love this place. For me, I can't stand the smell, and I don't think that the animals are particularly well taken care of. I also find it dirty, crowded and generally unpleasant. If my daughter didn't love it so much I would steer clear. It does have great bounce and playgrounds in the summer, and the kids love the animals, and feeding the animals. The parties are always fun for the kids. If you go, expect to be there for hours and hours - the place is huge. This is not a good place to go in winter
Con:
- check online for $2-3 off per person coupon before you come
-Food is typical frozen affair but the staff can use additional training on safe food handling
-Price is reasonable given the scope of the farm.
Tips:
I was given the recommendation to White Post Farms for pumpkin picking through a friend of my sister. This was our first visit & not only was I impressed we all had a great time on Saturday, including both my 12 year old nephew, 3 year old son, mother & sister. There is so much to do & we all had soo much fun. From the petting zoo, to the pumpkin picking, the different slides & rides, the shows & the food, we were all quite impressed. My nephew loves animals & my son the rides, so there was a whole lot of both for both kids. We are all looking forward to our next visit!! A definite must do for all, especially the kids. Love this farm!!
- Many good photo spots.
My husband and I took our 1 year old granddaughter there on a Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at the end of September. The price for admission with one sand pail of 4-5 small food cones was $52.00! Yes $52.00! When I questioned it to the school aged boy working the register, he got obnoxious. We proceeded into the "farm". ALL shows were not running and the place was pretty deserted. It was disturbing to see so many animals in such tight quarters and all of the pens were filthy. The monkey and lemur enclosures were full of feces. The poor giraffe is stuffed in a really small barn. It was heartbreaking to see. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
