Visited recently to check out the Dog Park for my Pitty - area is huge - ridiculously huge - be sure to bring your own bags to clean up after your friend - could use more seating and watering spots but overall a nice park... Be sure to have your dog on anti-flea & tick though - and check yourself thoroughly before you leave and when you get home - the surrounding area is dense foliage and trees and at high risk for these as well as mosquitoes... Be great if they had restrooms and fresh water for humans...

Dog Park

No problem with the park itself. Great dog-friendly place to walk. The problem is that we live on an island populated by jackasses and a few of them tried to make an extra buck by dumping asbestos and lead in a public park. The fences they put up are confusing and the first time I went there I had no idea why they are there. There are no signs and they seem to be placed at random. I never crossed a fence and went up the hill and down the hill by a different path and wondered how I got stuck on the wrong side of one of the fences in the abandoned stables. Sort of scary and confusing which is not what I'm looking for in a park. Seems like the government has been confronted by this dumping problem and just gave up and the public has to pay the price.

I like what's been done to make the trails more appealing. I am also glad there is a parking lot available. The trails are clean and wide.

Almost two acre fenced in area. Plenty of bench seating in sun or shade. Running water for dogs to drink. Always other dogs there to play with. Lots of parking. Hiking trails adjacent to dog run if you want to go off road.

Wish I could recommend this park but unfortunately I can't for now. The wooded hiking is not large to begin with, but recently they put a fence going through the wooded area, making half of it unable to access, so you have to turn around halfway through and go back to your car. They said this was because of "illegal dumping" and they won't take the fence down for over a year.
